Stephen Leeb is an American economist, financial author, wealth manager, and publisher of several investment newsletters. He has appeared on CNN, Fox News, NPR, and Bloomberg TV and is considered one of the country's foremost financial experts by Business journalist Charlie Gasparino.
Leeb earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, a Master's in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Illinois, post-degrees of which he obtained in three years.
Dr. Leeb has written nine books on macroeconomic trends, finance, and investment, including the New York Times business bestseller The Coming Economic Collapse. Likewise, the book Red Alert has been called “a much-needed shot in the arm for American complacency” by Publishers Weekly- awarded the 2012 Axiom Business Book Awards silver medal in the International Business / Globalization category. In his latest book, China’s Rise and the New Age of Gold: How Investors Can Profit from a Changing World, Leeb chronicles and analyzes the global events, fluctuations in international currencies, market forces, and economic trends which he predicts will result in a meteoric rise in the gold market.
Dr. Leeb is Head of the Advisory Board of Leor Exploration & Production LLC, a member of the advisory boards of Electrum USA Ltd. and Sunshine Silver Mines, and a board member/managing director of the PlainSight Group, an innovation company centered at Yale University.

Kuen (Scott) Chan

Kuen (Scott) Chan immigrated to the U.S. at age ten and earned admission to Stuyvesant, a specialized High School in New York, passing a citywide exam. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and East Asian Studies and a Minor in Economics from NYU. Additionally, he has a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Computer Information Systems from Zicklin School of Business.
Mr. Chan has been working with Dr. Leeb, participating in Investment Committee meetings as an observer and contributor since 2008. He analyzes economic and stock research, contributing investment ideas for LCM’s investment strategies. Editor or contributing editor for many of Dr. Leeb’s former publications, he currently serves as a portfolio editor for The Complete Investor investment newsletter.
In November 2016, Mr. Chan took over the role of Assistant Portfolio Manager. Subsequently, in February 2019, Mr. Chan joined the LCM Investment Committee and has served as the Portfolio Manager since. He is responsible for managing client portfolios, working closely with Dr. Leeb, stock research, and fine-tuning investment strategies. He currently operates more than 100 investment accounts.

Dr. Stephen Leeb serves as the President, Research Chairman, and Chief Compliance Officer of Leeb Capital Management, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm. He has authored nine books on various economic and investment topics. In addition, he serves as the Editor of Turbulent Time Investor (“TTI”), an online newsletter focused on investing. TTI is published by TCI Enterprises, LLC, a separate company also owned by Dr. Leeb. The recommendations in the newsletter are general investment opinions and recommendations, not individual investment advice and should not be construed as personalized investment advice.

This activity is separate and distinct from the investment advisory services of LCM. LCM does not manage client portfolios based on the strategies or recommendations included in the newsletters.
